Now that it’s cooled down enough to contemplate firing up our little oven, I’m going to bake a Smitten Kitchen Strawberry Summer Cake. I like to add a teaspoon of almond extract and some zest of whatever citrus I have on hand into the delicious batter. This is also good with blueberries and peaches, same amount as the strawberries.
